CBSE Class 10 Last 100 Days Plan 2027 — Week by Week to February

CBSE Class 10 last 100 days plan for 2027: 15-week schedule from Nov 2 to Feb 14, subject-wise priorities, mock tests, two-exam rules and daily routine.

In short: The CBSE 2027 date sheet had not been released as of October 28, 2026, but last year's theory exams started on February 17. If 2027 follows the same pattern you have about 112 days. This guide gives a 15-week plan from Monday, November 2 to Sunday, February 14, in four phases: finish the syllabus, practise by topic, take full timed papers, then revise lightly. The paper pattern is unchanged for 2026-27 (80 theory plus 20 internal marks, 50% competency-based questions), and Class 10 now has a second optional exam in May, which you should treat as a safety net, not a plan.

Last updated: October 28, 2026. I will update the dates when CBSE publishes the official date sheet.

For a deeper look at using sample papers well, read how to use CBSE sample papers effectively and use the Class 10 sample paper practice set.

The Mistake Notebook: The Habit That Pays Off

After every practice paper, write each lost mark in a notebook with three columns:

ColumnWhat to write
What happenedThe question and your answer
WhyConcept gap, silly error, time pressure or presentation
FixThe correct method in one line

In the last two weeks, revise only this notebook. It is shorter than any textbook and contains exactly your weak spots.

The Two-Exam System: How to Plan Around It

From 2026, Class 10 has two board exams. The first, in February, is compulsory. The second, in May, is optional, for improvement or to clear a failed subject. Results of the second exam are likely in June, and the better score counts (Times of India). CBSE has also said students cannot skip the first exam and appear only in May (SchoolMyKids, citing CBSE's Examination Controller).

So the sensible plan is to prepare fully for February. Treat May as insurance. Read our guides on the two-exam system and how to maximise your score across both exams.

Common Mistakes in the Last 100 Days

MistakeFix
Starting full papers too earlyDo topic-wise practice first. Full papers are for Phase 3
Ignoring internal assessmentIt is 20 marks and you need 33% in it separately. Finish practicals and portfolios by January
Skipping map work and diagramsFive marks of map work in Social Science and many diagram marks in Science are easy to secure
Studying only the favourite subjectWeak subjects hold the most improvable marks
Cutting sleepMemory consolidates during sleep. Keep 7 to 8 hours
Reading answers instead of writingWrite answers in exam format at least three times a week

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the CBSE Class 10 date sheet 2027 be released?

It had not been released as of October 28, 2026. Reports expected it between October 27 and 31. Last year the final date sheet came on October 30. Check cbse.gov.in and our Class 10 date sheet guide.

Is 100 days enough to prepare for the CBSE Class 10 boards?

Yes, if you follow a structured plan and your school has covered most of the syllabus. With about 31 hours a week for 15 weeks you have roughly 460 study hours. Students who are far behind should prioritise high-weightage chapters and use the emergency plan.

Has the CBSE Class 10 exam pattern changed for 2027?

No. CBSE said there is no change in the assessment scheme or passing criteria for the 2026-27 session. Papers still carry 50% competency-based questions, 20% select response and 30% constructed response.

How many hours should I study each day?

About 4 hours on weekdays after school and 5 to 6 hours on weekends is a sustainable target. Reports of toppers show that regular daily study, not marathon sessions, is the common thread.

Should I wait for the date sheet before starting?

No. The first 5 weeks of this plan do not depend on exact dates. Start now and adjust Phase 2 and Phase 3 once the date sheet is out.

What about the second board exam in May?

It is optional and meant for improvement. You still have to sit the February exam. Prepare for February as if it were your only chance, and use May only if you need it.
