Keep These Ready Before You Open the Form
- A verified DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan account
- Class 10 certificate or marksheet as a PDF
- A passport-size colour photograph (JPG) and a signature (JPG)
- A mobile number and email ID that belong to you or a parent

Step-by-Step: How to Fill the JEE Main 2027 Application Form
Step 1: Open the portal and start registration
Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and click the JEE Main 2027 registration link under Candidate Activity. Read the declaration page, tick the required fields and continue.
Step 2: Sign in through MeriPehchaan
A new tab opens with the MeriPehchaan sign-in page. Choose DigiLocker, e-Pramaan or JanParichay, enter your registered mobile number with PIN or OTP and submit. Aakash reports that eKYC supports Aadhaar, PAN, Driving Licence or APAAR.
When the permission pop-up appears, allow access. The portal fetches your name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and address and pre-fills them.
Step 3: Complete the registration form and create a password
Fill the remaining fields. Create a password of 8 to 13 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character. Note the system-generated application number. You will use it for both sessions.
Step 4: Log in again and fill the application form
Use your application number and password. The form covers:
- Personal details (parents' names are not in Aadhaar, so you type them yourself)
- Paper choice
- Four exam city choices, in order of preference
- Category and educational qualification details
- Document uploads
Step 5: Take the live photograph
Switch on your webcam, or scan the QR code with a phone or tablet. Use a plain white background and good lighting. Show at least 80% of your face including your ears, with no mask. NTA compares the photo with your DigiLocker photo. If they do not match you can recapture or continue, but the bulletin warns that your candidature can be cancelled later if impersonation is detected.
Step 6: Upload your documents
Upload the passport-size photograph, signature and Class 10 certificate. Upload extra documents only if they apply to you, such as a UDID or disability certificate.
Step 7: Pay the fee
Pay online by net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. The confirmation page is generated only after the payment succeeds.
Step 8: Download and print the confirmation page
Save the PDF, take a printout and keep the payment proof. Keep the application number safe for Session 2 and for the admit card.

What is the last date to apply for JEE Main 2027 Session 1?
The last date without a late fee is November 22, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. You can still apply from November 23 to 26 with an extra Rs 500 late fee. After November 26, Session 1 registration is closed.
Is MeriPehchaan login compulsory for the JEE Main 2027 application?
Yes. Careers360's coverage of the NTA process change says verification through DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan is mandatory. Your name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and address are pulled from that account.
Do I need to upload my Aadhaar card for JEE Main 2027?
